Fall Ontario Law Enforcement Risk Management Conference
The Risk Management Services Section, Professional Standards Bureau, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) invite you to attend their Fall Ontario Law Enforcement Risk Management Conference on Tuesday, November 6 and Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the OPP General Headquarters, Orillia, ON. The conference will begin at 08:00 each day with closing remarks planned for 14:30 on November 7.
The conference will include presentations and discussions with legal professionals and experts who will address topics such as trends in civil litigation including claims of false arrest, wrongful imprisonment, appearing as a witness, interesting human rights case law, auto insurance claims, information relating to privacy and technology, a presentation from the Chief Firearms Office, and many other relevant topics involving risk and policing. This is also an excellent networking opportunity to interact and share ideas with individuals working in Risk Management and policing throughout Ontario.
There is no admission or parking fees, as the Fall Ontario Law Enforcement Risk Management Conference is a free event. However, as the OPP is part of the Ontario Public Service we are governed by the Public Service Act of Ontario (2006). As such, the OPP is unable to cover any costs for attendees. Meals and hotel accommodations will be the responsibility of your police service.

We ask that you limit the number of attendees to a maximum of two individuals in order for us to accommodate all who are interested.
