Getting Ready for Police CEOs Day (#PoliceCEOs)

Ontario’s police CEOs – Chiefs, OPP Commissioner, Deputy Chiefs, and Deputy Commissioners – are getting set to meet at the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s (OACP) Police CEOs Day on September 20, 2019.  Among the sessions planned are:

  • New OHRC Policy on Racial Profiling – Ontario Human Rights Commission,  Chief Commissioner Renu Mandhane,
  • Amber Alert Overview – Staff Sergeant Stacey Whaley and Jenna Thomson, Strategic Communications Officer, Ontario Provincial Police,
  • Addressing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Occupational Stress Injuries in Law Enforcement – Dr. Katy Kamkar, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health,
  • Update from Officer of the Independent Police Review Director – Sylvana Capogreco, Director,
  • Police Leaders Roundtable, and
  • Update from the OACP President, Executive Director, and Director of Government Relations and Communications
