- OACP President Chief Paul Pedersen, Executive Director Jeff McGuire, and other police leaders will be taking part in consultations next week with the Ministry of the Solicitor General on Regulations for the Comprehensive Ontario Police Services Act.
- The Ministry of the Solicitor General is conducting a review of section 133 of the Police Services Act, which requires police services to account for money taken into the possession of police service when money was stolen from its owner or was found abandoned in a public place and the Chief of Police cannot identify the owner, or the property was seized by a member of the police force in the lawful execution of his or her duties.
- The Office of the Auditor General of Ontario is currently doing a value-for-money audit of the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-OFPS). The OACP has been asked to provide input specifically on how to improve the death investigation system in Ontario.
- The Special Investigations Unit has released its latest Annual Report.
